Angels that hold the winds

“And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!” Matthew 8:23-27.

Nature has groaning as a result of man’s action. It’s continually assaulted: deforestation, burning, smoke, waste from factories, unloading of engines, etc. The planet is being cruelly murdered. The Christian, more than any other person, has the duty to respect and defend nature, for his commitment is with the creator.

THE NATURE AND THE GLORY OF GOD

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” Psalm 19:1.

The nature is special, above all, because it was created by the power of God. It is tangible proof of the existence of God (Rm 1:20). Nature is an expression of the power of God, and it glorifies the Creator.

THE THUE OWNER OF THE NATURE IS THE LORD

The human being is considered to be the first fruits of God’s creatures (James 1:18). Therefore, it is necessary to understand that God established man in the condition of BUTLER and CARETAKER of the earth:

“And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it” Genesis 2:15.

Thus, man has a duty to administer nature. God gave man authority over nature, but this authority has been exercised wrongly since the fall. But it is not just environmental aggression but the impact of sin on creation.

God made a covenant with Noah:

And God said: ” And God said: This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.”. Genesis 9:12-16.

In the middle of the storms God remembers his covenant with man, has man remembered his covenant with God?

In the face of what we have seen today, Paul’s words take on greater meaning:

“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

“For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now” Romans 8:19-22.

THE NATURE HEAR THE VOICES

Nature hears and obeys commands. It wants the true children of God to reveal themselves, to manifest, so it’ll rejoice and have rest. Creation obeys command voices:

1. Of God who created it;

2. Of man that are in communion with God;

3. Of the angels that serve the Highest;

4. Of deamons that act (Because man handed them the authority over Earth to Satan and his daemons after having sinned)

THE ANGELS HOLD THE 4 WINDS

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads” Revelation 7:1-3.

Without going in to the eschatological merit of the text of Revelation 7:1-3, I just would like to highlight the very first beginning of this text. There’re angels holding the 4 winds (North, South, East e West) preventing them from hurting earth.

– There’re angels controlling the winds;

– The reason the angels hold the winds is a chosen people;

– Only after the chosen people are “sealed” (marked) will there comes a great destruction.

As their hands loosened and the four winds were about to blow, the merciful eyes of Jesus beheld the remnants that were not sealed, and raising his hands to the Father, He claimed that He had shed His blood for them. Then another angel was commanded to fly quickly to the other four and to command them to hold the winds until the servants of God were sealed in the forehead with the seal of the living God.

A terrible war is before us. We are approaching the battle of the great day of the Almighty God. What has been kept under control will be released. The angel of mercy is closing its wings, preparing to leave its throne and leave the world under the dominion of Satan.

The mark or seal we have on our heads is the sign of the priesthood, the sign of holiness. That we belong to a kingdom and the King have dominion and sovereignty over everything and everyone.

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen” Revelation 1:4-7

If we are not being a voice of authority over the storms, is that it’s missing a genuine repentance.

“Remember, then, where you did fall from! Repent, and do the first Works that you used to do in the beginning, or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Se não se arrepender, virei a você e tirarei o seu candelabro do seu lugar”. Revelation 2:5

“remove thy candlestick out of his place” Remind us of the tabernacle of worship, of prayers 24/7. Jesus is the one who walks among the candlesticks that are the churches.

“And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.” Revelation 1:13.

REPENTANCE

“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent”. Revelation 3:19.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out” Acts 3:19.

“And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish” Matthew 8:24,25.

Let’s “wake Jesus up” these days, not with desperate cries saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to die!” But with our prayers of faith. With repentance and seeking holiness.

The clouds are not to cause fear but to remind us that God is hiding in the clouds. Noah received a promise that the earth would no longer be destroyed by flood. The sign of this promise was that in the clouds there would be the rainbow.

“And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer!” Revelation 10:1-6

EVEN SO THERE’RE THOSE WHO DON’T WANT TO REPENT

In revelation chapter 9 we see a description of cities and nations being destroyed by plagues and calamities and, in the end the phrase:

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts” Revelation 9:20,21.

There is still time to repent and pray for our cities. Be a faithful witness of the Lord. The angels of God are about to come down to the earth. They are seeking the worshipers, those who seek holiness and have close communion with the Lord. Those who enter boldly into the sanctuary, those who pay the price to be in the temple.

“And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein… And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth (humility)… These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will” Revelation 11:1-6.

Elijah and Moses may be these two witnesses, but what interests us now is the principle:

– Someone who has authority over the heavens (clouds) to make it stop raining (Anointing of Elijah).

– Someone who has authority over the land (To order the plagues).

In this time of storm, it’s good to have a review and see if we’re true witnesses of Jesus.

Por que vocês estão com tanto medo, homens de pequena fé? ” Então ele se levantou e repreendeu os ventos e o mar, e fez-se completa bonança”. Mateus 8:26.
